KAYA’s Fabrication Facility located in North Charleston, SC provides a full-service fabrication and manufacturing center for all of the needs of our DoD and Commercial customers. With in-house design, fabrication, and installation capabilities we cover projects from initial concept to physical installation. We design and fabricate towers, platforms, radome rings, metal cabinetry and custom mounts, to name just a few. We have on-site capability for form, fit, and function acceptance procedures to ensure that your product is installed and fully functional at the outset.

Our Fabrication Manager has over 25 years defense contracting and commercial experience in multiple design, fabrication, and production fields, including Structural, Ornamental, and Metal Cabinetry.

Representative Fabrication Projects

On 17 November 2008 KAYA was awarded a contract from Serco, Inc. of North Charleston, South Carolina to fabricate and erect two 55-foot AN/TPS-75 3D Air Search Radar Tower/Platforms. The AN/TPS-75 is a 3-dimensional search radar that can be disassembled, packed, and transported. The two towers are in support of Serco’s contract with the Space and Naval Systems Center, Charleston (SPAWAR), and will be shipped to locations to support U.S. military efforts.

KAYA was tasked with fabricating and erecting these towers for form, fit, and function acceptance within an aggressive 45 “calendar” day timeframe—a timeframe more in keeping with the fabrication and erection of one tower. The towers were designed 55 feet in height and 21 feet square to enable them to withstand 150 MPH winds, allowing them to be versatile enough to be used in harsh environments and extraordinary conditions. Despite the accelerated timeframe, the towers were completed within the contract terms and schedule.

KAYA was awarded a three year contract by SPAWARSYSCEN (SSC) Atlantic Aviation C2 Engineering Division to provide them with a wide range of design, development, and fabrication services. This contract ensures SSC Atlantic with the capabilities to support the warfighter in a dynamic environment where scope and schedule change rapidly to ensure critical support for our troops.
